Jamie Chung

  Biography
Jamie Chung was born on April 10, 1983, and originally hails from her hometown of Riverside in California. A daughter of Korean heritage, she was 20 years old during her time on the show. Jamie possessed the qualities of a straightforward young woman who bluntly told things as they were, as well as being no-nonsense and in-your-face when dealing with her peers. This made her seem highly capable, if somewhat brusque and brutally honest. She is best known for being in the fourteenth season of the hit MTV reality television series The Real World, set in San Diego, California.

Chung was brought up in San Francisco by first generation parents who strictly adhered to tradition. Jamie also proved herself to be a hard worker, holding down two jobs in order to pay for her tuition, and studying diligently for her tests in school. But as busy as she kept herself with her responsibilities, she also had a reputation for partying just as hard and enjoying herself. However, her friends have said that her main fault is her taste in men. While she was very selective about the people and guys she hung out with, she still tended to overlook major shortcomings in the men that she did like.

Now, as she stars in Sucker Punch she's bound to get more publicity and other offers after the movie hits on March 2011. An article from BeyondHollywood.com follows.

Malone and Chung Join Snyder’s All-Girl Pic Sucker Punch
Sucker Punch (2011) Movie — By Nix on April 20, 2009 |
Chi Chi will go from fighting green-skinned alien dudes who wants to destroy the world to starring in Zack Snyder’s all-girl fantasy flick “Sucker Punch”. Jamie Chung, who co-starred as Chi Chi in the ill-fated “Dragonball: Evolution” has joined the ever-revolving door that is the “Sucker Punch” cast along with Jena Malone. The two lasses join a cast that currently counts among its members Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens and Abbie Cornish. Before that, Emma Stone had been in the cast, but she’ll now be replaced by Chung. Malone, meanwhile, will take over the role formerly attached to Evan Rachel Wood.
THR says Chung (pictured, below) will play Amber, a country girl with a big heart, while Malone (pictured, top left) will play Cornish’s younger sister. Like everyone else in the film, the two girls will be inmates at a mental instituion.
Browning will star as a girl who is confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternate reality to hide from the pain and in that world begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out. It’s not as ludicrous as it sounds. Oh who are we kidding. This is Zack Snyder. It sounds exactly as ludicrous as it is.
Much slow motion all-girl showering scenes ensue. One hopes.
